We do not use your source code, SQL schemas, architecture diagrams, or uploaded project files to train, fine-tune, or reinforce public artificial intelligence models. Your project remains private, confidential, and exclusively yours.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how BlackBook AI(“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, protects, and discloses your information when you access or use our AI documentation platform. We respect the confidentiality of academic and proprietary software authored by students and technical institutes.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, password hash, and optional educational institution details (e.g. college name, branch, semester).

Project Artifacts: When you use our generation tools, you may upload GitHub repository links, ZIP archives of code, SQL database definitions, UI screenshots, and project synopsis presentations.

Generated Documents: Transcripts of generated chapter drafts, modified rich-text blocks, and compiled DOCX/PDF files.

Usage & Telemetry: Log data including IP addresses, browser types, generation processing times, and error diagnostics to keep the platform reliable.

3. How We Process Your Code & Files

Your uploaded code files are ingested into an isolated, temporary sandbox environment for the sole purpose of:

  • Parsing Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) to understand modules and APIs
  • Extracting database schemas to generate normalized ER tables
  • Building an ephemeral Semantic Knowledge Graph to prevent hallucinations
  • Compiling MSBTE-formatted DOCX and PDF export manuscripts

4. Data Security & Storage

All data transmitted to and from BlackBook AI is protected by 256-bit TLS encryption in transit. Files stored in our storage clusters are encrypted at rest using AES-256 standard encryption. Access to production servers is strictly restricted to authorized operational engineers under audited key protocols.

5. Data Retention & One-Click Deletion

You maintain full sovereignty over your data. At any time from your project dashboard, you may trigger the “Delete Project” action, which permanently and irrevocably purges all associated source code, repository copies, knowledge graphs, and generated documents from our database and cache servers.

6. Third-Party Sub-processors

We partner with trusted third-party providers who adhere to strict data security standards:

  • Payment Gateways (UPI, Razorpay, Stripe) for secure billing processing without storing credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Cloud Infrastructure (AWS / Vercel) for server hosting and document generation compute.
  • Authentication Providers for encrypted session management.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use necessary session cookies and local storage tokens solely to keep you logged in and persist your draft editing progress. We do not sell tracking cookies to third-party advertising networks.
